Take a knee. Don’t take a knee. At this point, we should ask ourselves “Do we want to be right? Or do we want a solution?” If the purpose of ‘taking a knee’ is to raise awareness, then hasn’t the objective been achieved? How many are still unaware? In this humble blogger’s opinion, the bigger question is not whether to take a knee or not but “How do we move forward together toward a solution?” That, my friends, should be our current debate.
If only we could all recognize who the real enemy is, we would offend less, be less offended, and would LOVE more. Love listens to all those who’ve been or feel transgressed and it offers forgiveness to those who’ve transgressed, knowingly or unknowingly. Love moves forward, hand in hand, spreading His perfect love in perfect harmony.
Last week, I had the enormous pleasure and privilege of attending #ForgivenessNashville an evening at “The Shack” benefiting The Family Foundation Fund, an organization who’s mission is to serve fatherless children. What a great place to start in restoring all that has been lost!? Consider donating or getting involved at FamilyFoundationFund.org
“…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the LOVE of Christ… that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God” Eph. 3:17-19
If only we could begin to comprehend the unfathomable love our heavenly Father has for us, we would be the change our world so desperately needs.
“To be SO full of God’s love, I could not fathom speaking an unkind word or committing an unkind deed.” That is my quest… join me!?
