Outrage Versus a Call to Prayer…

Should Christians be outraged by the recent comments of Joy Behar?

I’m more deeply, saddened than offended and let me tell you why… the comparison of “hearing Jesus” to mental illness, even if intended as a joke, reveals a world void of Christ.

Jesus said “If the world hates you, realize it hated me first.” Yet, as He hung on the cross He said “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”  All of the condemnation, finger-pointing, and fist-shaking won’t lead Joy, or others like her, to Christ. Imagine for a moment, “What if the Joy Behar’s of the world could be used for good!?”

Are you willing to put down your arsenal of condemnation to pray? Pray for God to use you as a light in a dark, lost world. PRAY God will reveal himself to the lost, through you, so they too will come to know and HEAR the voice of a Heavenly Father… #ameaningfuljourney
